Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 members, along with local army, navy and air cadets and modern-day veterans, attended a memorial march and service at the Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site to honour those who served in the Korean War (1950-1953), June 21, 2019. 516 Canadians died in the Korean War, another 1,200 were wounded. 28 soldiers from the Sault and area served in the war, five of whom were killed in action.
