Further details can be found in this release:

St. Vincent Place is pleased to be able to again offer its Lunches for Learning program, which helps ensure that no local children have to go hungry at school.

Parents and guardians of school-age children are eligible to receive weekly packages of school-safe lunch foods that will allow them to send their child to school with a lunch every day. The packages will contain such foods as granola bars, yogurts, sandwich bread, cheese strings, fresh fruit and vegetables, and deli meat.

Registration for the program will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15. Families can sign up using an online form on our website. Registration will be capped at 200 children.

We ask all families to register via the website. Registration will only be accepted over the phone if a family does not have internet access. If this is the case, call Sara at 705-253-2770 ext. 202.

If you’d like to support Lunches for Learning, we are happy to receive donations of granola bars, fruit cups/apple sauce, crackers, cookies, pudding cups, and canned tuna, or you can make a financial donation on our website at vincentplacessm.ca/lunches-for-learning. The program’s groceries cost over $2,000 per week, and we rely on the support of the community to make it a success.
