10 a.m. update Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are currently on scene at a house fire in the 300 block of Patrick Street. Officers responded to the call around 1:55 this morning and remain on scene with members of Sault Ste.

Officers responded to the call around 1:55 this morning and remain on scene with members of Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.
At this point the origin of the fire is unknown and is still being investigated; however no injuries have been reported.
Patrick Street remains closed to traffic and we ask members of the public to avoid this area while the investigation continues.

Loyal SooToday.com reader Eldon Bell sent us the following photos and videos of a house fire on Patrick Street that appears to have started some time after midnight.
Bell reports that he was alerted to the sound of fire engines in the Patrick Street area at about 1:45 a.m. today.
"The road is closed off from Wallace Terrace to Henrietta Avenue," he told SooToday.com at 3:15 a.m. "It looks like they have the fire under control, i do not see any more flames."
Bell also reported that he saw no ambulances at the scene.
