Reggie’s Place is expected to reopen at 458 Queen St. E. sometime within the next week.
And by the sound of it, the downtown tavern is going to look pretty much the same as before.
“Exactly the old place,” owner Reggie Daigle told SooToday. “Never change something that does well for you, and the people like it.”
Daigle tells SooToday that work on Reggie’s Place is “almost finished,” nearly two years after a suspicious fire set in one of the dwellings above the bar effectively shut down the building.
Months later, SooToday reported that somewhere between $50,000 and $60,000 worth of beer, liquor and bar items were stolen over the course of eight or nine break-ins.
