CLARIFICATION: This article was updated at 10:15 a.m. to include further information from PUC about the duration of the outage.

A power outage that impacted more than 500 customers downtown last night has been fixed.

The outage began at 8:36 p.m. on Friday, knocking out electricity to 506 customers around Bruce and Wellington streets.

The PUC's website says power was not restored until 7:37 a.m. today, but a spokesperson says the actual outage lasted approximately two hours — not 11.

An "issue" with the outage management system prevented the app from being updated when the power was initially restored, the spokesperson says.

The cause of the outage is "unknown," PUC says.
