Poker Run sees boaters making waves on the river (22 photos)

110-mile route makes stops at St. Joseph Island, Bruce Mines and Thessalon

The Sault Ste. Marie Can-Am Poker Run 2019 got underway Saturday morning, as boaters departed from Bondar Marina to begin the race. 

Participants cruised more than 100 miles, making stops at St. Joseph Island, Bruce Mines and Thessalon before heading back to the Sault. 

This year's charity of choice for the event is The Twinkie Foundation

The poker run's 'Charity Ride of a Lifetime' happens Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all proceeds going toward The Twinkie Foundation.
