Bill Priddle left Treble Charger three years ago.

And Greig Nori wound the rock band down in February of this year.

But the two former Treble Charger members were singing in the rain together for a photo shoot today, as they posed with their maple leaf marker on Sault Ste. Marie's new Walk of Fame.

SooToday.com caught up with them warm and dry inside the Steelback Centre as they made their way over to the alternate location for Walk of Fame ceremonies.

"It feels really good," said Nori. "But I'm still trying to figure out who nominated us."

Nori said he's doing his research to try to find the band's mystery nominator and thank the person or persons.

"This is awesome," said Priddle. "It's nice to be recognized."

Nori and Priddle left the Sault with Treble Charger in the early 80s but now say they might not have to leave so early in their musical careers if they were starting out today.

"If you want to be a musician in Canada you go to Toronto," said Priddle. "Now, with the Internet, it's easier to start up anywhere you want."

Priddle and Nori were recognized along with fellow former Saultite and Treble Charger member Rob "Rosie" Martin.

Priddle's now pursuing a solo career, while Nori manages Sum 41, fronted by Deryck Whibley, who together with his recently wedded bride Avril Lavigne is in the headlines today for horking loogies at the Hollywood paparazzi.

At today's ceremony for the inductees, Sault Mayor John Rowswell said that this is the first of what will be an annual induction of members into Sault Ste. Marie's Walk of Fame.

Also on hand at today's ceremony fellow inductees Joanie and Gary McGuffin, well-known adventurers.

Canada's first female astronaut Roberta Bondar was very disappointed to cancel her visit at the last minute when her mother suddenly became seriously ill, said her alternate and niece, Dr. Alanah Bondar.

Francis H. Clergue, one of the city's founding industrialists, was honoured posthumously with a maple leaf marker.

Jessica Tuomela, Ron Francis, Morley Torgov, Kevin Scott, Ken Danby and Ted Nolan sent alternates or words of thanks for their honours.

The 10 inductees were honoured at a special dedication ceremony in the Steelback Centre this afternoon.

Special guests at the ceremony included Sault MP Tony Martin, MPP David Orazietti, Mayor John Rowswell and Steelback Centre Advisory Committee Chair and Ward 1 Councillor James Caicco.

A few members of the Walk of Fame committee and the Downtown Association also turned out to officially unveil the Walk of Fame.

The whole procession of unveilers was led by the Sault's most famous loud person (official town crier Mary Rossiter) and emceed by Downtown Association President Udo Rauk.
