The Sault Ste. Marie Police wish to report that 41-year-old Michael Turcotte has been arrested without incident at approximately 3 p.m. today and will be attending bail court in Sault Ste. Marie.

Original 1 p.m. release - Male wanted in connection to double stabbing

Investigators with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have obtained a warrant of arrest for 41-year-old Michael Turcotte. 

The accused is wanted for one count of assault, one count of threatening death and two counts of assault with a weapon.

These charges are in relation to an incident on the 31st of August, 2016 in the area of Albert Street West and Cathcart Streets.

Mr. Turcotte is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you see him do not approach him but contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police via 9-1-1.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Turcotte is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police at 705-949-6300.
