Thirteen-year-old Shea-Lynn Gioia has made some major moves lately in the world of CrossFit. CrossFit is a new sport that is rapidly growing in popularity.

Thirteen-year-old Shea-Lynn Gioia has made some major moves lately in the world of CrossFit.

CrossFit is a new sport that is rapidly growing in popularity.

Shea-Lynn recently attended Canada's first varsity CrossFit competition called The Gauntlet.

She competed in the junior varsity level (13-16) and won.

All competitors scores were added to the online leader board and she is currently ranked fourth world wide.

She recently received an offer of a lifetime, to attend the Reebok CrossFit Games in Carson, California on July 27, 2013.

This is considered the Olympics of crossfit and is also the first time the games will have a varsity division.

Shea-Lynn would love to attend and prove herself on a worldwide stage.

CrossFit is not the only sport that this athlete excels at.

She recently won 100 metre dash and high jump in zone and city track meets and also acquiring a new 100 metre dash record.

She then travelled down to Sudbury for the district h track meet and won 100 metre high jump, running long jump and triple jump also setting a record in high jump and running long jump.

She was in the process of trying out for a Northern Ontario basketball team which had to be put off until next year as it overlaps with the games.

Shea-Lynn played for the City Titans basketball team and was awarded with the most dedicated trophy at the year-end banquet.

Due to it being such short notice her family is holding a fundraiser to help get her there.

They are also currently looking for any businesses who might be willing to help sponsor her.
