Public Health Ontario reported 441 new COVID cases today.
The latest updates noted 456 recoveries and three new deaths.
The Nov. 9 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:
- 4,022 active, lab-confirmed cases, down from 4,040 yesterday.
- 244 people are hospitalized with COVID-19
- There are 115 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 19 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
- There are 68 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 10 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID.
- 11,098,007 Ontarians (about 75 per cent of the total population) have been fully vaccinated. 88 per cent of eligible Ontarians have at least one dose of vaccine.
- Included in the new cases reported today are 225 unvaccinated, 19 partially vaccinated, and 173 fully vaccinated people. 24 cases were reported with the vaccination status unknown.
- Hospitalized cases (not in the ICU) include 81 unvaccinated, nine partially vaccinated, and 69 fully vaccinated individuals.
- ICU cases include 54 unvaccinated, three partially vaccinated and 20 fully vaccinated people.
- The seven-day average incidence rate by vaccination status is 7.5 cases per 100,000 unvaccinated people, 2.8 cases per 100,000 partially vaccinated people, and 1.8 cases per 100,000 fully vaccinated people.
- The province reported 19,368 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 3.1 per cent positivity rate.
- Of the new cases reported today, 55 are from Toronto, 15 are from Peel, 37 are from Simcoe-Muskoka, and 30 are from York Region.
- Today's new cases include 90 individuals under 12 years old, 30 youth between 12 and 19 years old, 140 people between 20 and 39 years old, 95 people between 40 and 59 years old, 61 people between 60 and 79 years old, and 25 people over 79 years old.
Public Health Ontario has confirmed 604,152 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 590,227 recoveries and 9,903 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, 30,756 people have been hospitalized with COVID and 6,032 of them were in intensive care units.
The cumulative average incidence rate in the province is 4,100.4 cases per 100,000 people in Ontario.
Ontario's average weekly incidence rate last week was 21.4 cases per 100,000 people, which is up by 25.9 per cent compared to the week of Oct. 23.

Northern Ontario
In Northern Ontario, the breakdown of Public Health Ontario data is:
- Algoma Public Health: 579 cases, weekly rate of 30.5 cases per 100,000 people. The health unit has reported 583 cases. There are 68 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 90 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 86 per cent have both doses.
- North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit: 850 cases, weekly rate of 30.2 cases per 100,000 people. The health unit has reported 854 cases. There are 42 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 87 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 83 per cent have both doses.
- Porcupine Health Unit: 2,234 cases, weekly rate of 11.8 cases per 100,000 people. The health unit has reported 2,236 cases. There are 8 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 90 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 84 per cent have both doses.
- Public Health Sudbury and Districts: 3,080 cases, weekly rate of 89.2 cases per 100,000 people. The health unit has reported 3,122 cases. There are 257 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 91 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 87 per cent have both doses.
- Timiskaming Health Unit: 252 cases, weekly rate of 20.7 cases per 100,000 people. The health unit has reported 254 cases. There are 5 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 88 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 84 per cent have both doses.
- Northwestern Health Unit: 1,200 cases, weekly rate of 7.4 cases per 100,000 people. There are 3 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 89 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 83 per cent have both doses.
- Thunder Bay District Health Unit: 3,452 cases, weekly rate of 14 cases per 100,000 people. There are 20 known active cases. Of the eligible population 12 years and older, 93 per cent of people have at least one dose of the vaccine and 89 per cent have both doses.
