NEWS RELEASES FROM SOO GREYHOUNDS AND SARNIA STING
********************* The Ontario Hockey League today announced disciplinary action against Hounds forward Reg Thomas following an investigation by the league into an incident during a game against the Sarnia Sting January 23rd.
Thomas has been suspended for 15 games as a result of a high sticking infraction against Sting defenceman Matt Pelech. Pelech suffered a jaw injury after a collision with Thomas, who was cited for careless use of the stick. The league also suspended 2 members of the Sting for their actions during the game.
Forward Jordan Grant was suspended for 8 games while Michael Haley was banned for 5 games.
Both Grant and Haley were involved in fights with Thomas following the incident.
Thomas will be eligible to return to the Hounds line-up on Wednesday March 6th when they play host the Saginaw Spirit.
The Soo will have five regular season games remaining on the schedule when Thomas returns to the line-up.
It's the second suspension of the season for Thomas.

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League has announced today that it has suspended a pair of Sting forwards stemming as a result of their actions in a game last Sunday night vs. Sault Ste. Marie.
Jordan Grant received an eight-game suspension while Micheal Haley has been suspended for five games.
Grant, who did not play last night in London, has eight games remaining while Haley was dressed and will now sit out the next five Sting games.
