Although spring-like days may be just around the corner, it seems like we're in for another dash of winter tonight.

If you expect to be out on the roads, be warned that Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory.

The weather agency says total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible for Sault Ste. Marie and Superior East tonight into tomorrow morning, with reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow.

The advisory was issued just before 9 p.m. with snow falling from "now" until early Monday morning.

"Snow at times heavy is expected tonight. Winds gusting up to 50 km/h will also lead to areas of blowing snow. Snow will ease early Monday morning," the weather advisory states.

"Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

"If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance."
