4 p.m. update - Male wanted in connection to shooting
Investigators with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have obtained a warrant of arrest for 35-year-old Alexander Benjamin McKenna.
Mr. McKenna is wanted for one count of attempt murder in relation to a shooting in the early morning hours of October 20, 2013.
Mr. McKenna is believed to be armed and dangerous.
If you see him do not approach him but contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service via 911.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Mr. McKenna is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 705-942-7867.

Officers from Investigation Services with the assistance of Patrol Services, the Emergency Services Unit and the K-9 Unit are actively working on this investigation.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to reassure the public that this is not a random act of violence.
The male victim and the male suspect are known to each other.
The victim remains in the Sault Area Hospital with life threatening injuries after being shot in the torso area.
The identity of the suspect is known to the police and all available resources are being utilized at this time to locate him.
Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who has any further information is encouraged to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 705-942-7867

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a shooting incident from overnight.
At approximately 02:48 hours, police were called to the Roosevelt Hotel at 306 Korah Road for an altercation and gun shots in the bar area.
One male has been taken to hospital suffering from a gunshot wound and is in undisclosed condition at this time.
The investigation is actively ongoing and more information will be released as the investigation progresses.
