Most city facilities will be closed Thanksgiving Monday

With Thanksgiving on tap, some City of Sault Ste. Marie facilities will be closed on Monday.

The following facilities and services are closed on Oct. 14:

• Bay Street Active Living Centre and the Northern Community Centre Active 55+
• Cemetery office
• City Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Depot
• Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site
• GFL Memorial Gardens office and Box Office
• John Rhodes Community Centre Arenas
• Northern Community Centre
• Public Libraries – James L. McIntyre Centennial and North Branch
• Public Works office. For 24-hour emergency service, call 705-759-5201
• Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre
• Sault Transit main office

There will be no garbage, leaf, yard waste or recycling pickup on Monday. Following the holiday, collection will be one day later than usual.

The John Rhodes Pool is open for holiday hours on Sunday and Monday.

The hours are:

• parent and child/lane swim 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• public swim 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be no regular Transit service. Parabus service will operate on Monday.

The Roberta Bondar Marina and Bellevue Marina are closed for the season.
