Gerrard Dupuis, a retiree, says his Instant Gift Pack win of $100,000 is his first big triumph.
"I bought the (pack) to get into the Christmas spirit," he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. "I was at home playing my tickets and when I noticed all the zeroes, I called OLG right away and then went to the casino to validate it. That’s when I knew it was the real deal."
Dupuis says he told his sisters and brothers about this win, and they were all very happy for him. "It is very exciting and surreal. It's a Christmas miracle."
He plans to travel somewhere warm with his win. "The rest will go in the bank," he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at McDougall Fuels on Trunk Road in Sault Ste. Marie.
