Twelve local youths will have the opportunity to launch their own businesses this summer thanks to funding from the Summer Company program.
This program provides business training and mentoring to young entrepreneurs in high school or post-secondary to assist them in starting a seasonal business.
This initiative is administered by the Economic Development division of the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
The 2024 Summer Company participants in the Sault Ste. Marie area are:

- Emily Arbour – Stick ‘Em
- Nathan Barone – Fort Creak Lawn Care Service
- Lucas Carriere – Carriere’s Lawn Care Services
- Kaden Dundas – Greenside Property Care
- Destiny Link – Link’s Crafty Corner
- Martina Pucci – Fields Square Lawn Care
- Theo Smith – Top Shelf Property Maintenance
- Ambar Thompson – Art Adventures
- Liam Watson – Watson’s Lawn Care
- Heather Yanni – AllStar Stickers
- Ella Zachary – Sweet Treatz
The Summer Company program is funded by the Province of Ontario and is delivered by the city’s Millworks - Centre for Entrepreneurship.
