Local Stanley Cup champion to headline social services BBQ

Sault's Michael Amadio to headline annual street party celebrating social service providers

Stanley Cup champion Michael Amadio will be a special guest at this year’s street party celebrating local social service providers.

The Ottawa Senators forward — who won the Cup two seasons ago with the Las Vegas Golden Knights — will be in his hometown Thursday Aug. 22 for the annual “Game On Street Party,” hosted by the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board.

The free event — from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Albion Street and Chapple Avenue — will include a barbecue, games, prizes, face painting and bouncy castles.
