The city's Active 55+ Program will host a free Seniors Active Living Fair on Wednesday, March 6, at which seniors, families, and caregivers are welcome.

The event is designed to address the unique needs of seniors or those who assist them and provide information and resources to support their well-being, organizers say.

A range of activities, seminars and demonstrations will take place, according to a release.

Participants can explore services, meet local agencies that support seniors in the community and gain tips for maintaining health and wellness.

The fair is a collaborative effort between Active 55+ and the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario, made possible through funding provided by the Government of Ontario.

A free light lunch will be provided.

The city says the event is free to attend but registration is suggested by calling 705-254-6474 or visiting the event page.

The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northern Community Centre, 556 Goulais Ave.
