Snow squall watch issued for:
   Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island, Ont. 

Current details:
Snow squalls possible Saturday into Sunday.

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 15 to 25 cm. Higher amounts are possible.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing:
Saturday into Sunday.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow off Lake Superior will continue today and tonight before strengthening in intensity through the day Saturday. Snow squalls will likely last into Sunday morning.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible.
