The delicious tastes and sweet smells of the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast returned to the Conservation Authority Sugar Shack this weekend after a two-year hiatus.
Hungry families came out in droves on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, locally produced maple syrup, and deep-fried sausages.
Event organizers with the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie say their comeback weekend has been incredibly successful.
The proceeds they raise from the breakfast will go towards a number of local charities, many of which are directed towards helping children in the community.
Maple syrup was provided by local producer Nathan Chevalier from Fallen Leaves Maple Products, who had a display set up featuring his wide range of flavoured syrups and products.
The pancake breakfast is slated to return next weekend at the Sugar Shack on Fifth Line from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Adults $10, seniors (65+) $8, children (6-12) $5, children (0-5) free. Volunteers would like to remind attendees to bring cash.
