ARCH is excited to announce that Ken Ross has won $11,385 from the December 50/50 Grand Prize Draw with ticket #F-7250867.
Ken and his wife, Helen, have a long and meaningful connection to ARCH, the organization said in a news release.
Helen was the first executive director, while Ken was one of the original volunteers. He dedicated his time five days a week, and on weekends when needed, to support Hospice with tasks such as snowblowing and maintenance, as well as assisting on the floor with palliative care and much more.
Together, they helped lay the foundation of ARCH and their deep connection to the hospice mission still stands strong. Now living in southern Ontario to be closer to their children and grandchildren, Ken and Helen remain supporters of ARCH.
Their daughter shared, “Mom and Dad both strongly believe in Hospice. They dedicated many years to opening and running ARCH, and they continue to support it to this day.”
Ken and Helen’s story reflects the deep sense of community and dedication that has helped Hospice thrive over the years. They continue to demonstrate their unwavering belief in the importance of ARCH’s compassionate care, the release said.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to give back to long-time supporters who have such a deep connection to Hospice. With the start of a new year, it’s the perfect time to spread kindness. We look forward to continuing this wonderful fundraiser and we’re so grateful for the community’s support in making it possible,” expressed Katherine Williamson, Fund Development Supervisor at ARCH.
ARCH's Early Bird Draws take place on the second Wednesday of each month. Purchasing your tickets in advance will give you a chance at both the $1,000 Early Bird Prize and the end-of-month Grand Prize.
Tickets for the January ARCH 50/50 are on sale now at www.ARCH5050.ca. The winner’s jackpot has a guaranteed minimum of $9,999 and Early Bird ticket holders will have a chance at winning $1,000.
