The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service RIDE program was successful in stopping 225 vehicles overnight.
During a check officers stopped a vehicle on Bay St. near the Casino and arrested 21 year old Jesse Jordon Wiwchar of Old Garden River Road after he failed a roadside screening test.
He has been charged with exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol content and will appear in court on 27 May 2013.
A second male was also arrested for exceeding 80 milligrams blood alcohol content and failing to provide a sample of his breath after he was stopped driving in a downtown alley.
Shawn Robert Husband of Malabar Drive failed a roadside screening test and subsequently refused to provide a further sample of his breath for analysis.
He was charged with the listed offences and will also appear in court on 27 May 2013.
