It's time to stuff a trailer and truck

Christie's RV & Prouse Chevrolet are trying to stuff a truck and trailer for Christmas Cheer! Throughout November and December, you'll see volunteers and community partners come together to fundraise at nine unique drop off sites.

They'll be collecting donations of toys, winter clothes and non-perishable food items to help the 1500+ families that request assistance from Christmas Cheer during the holidays.

This fundraiser will start at Rome's Independent Grocery Store on Nov. 11 and 12. You'll even see them collect donations with their float on the route during the Rotary Santa Clause parade!

"This time of year can be challenging for many families." said Sam Bruni, Sales Manager of Christie's RV. "We hope this initiative will help ensure that families enjoy their holiday season."

"We are thrilled to have an opportunity to help our local Christmas Cheer. This partnership is an example of how, when we work together, we can achieve great things and have a positive effect on our community," said Prouse Chevrolet owner Robert Prouse.

Here is a list of locations & events where you can drop off donations:

• Rome's Independent Grocer: Nov. 11 and 12, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Grand Slam of Curling, Essar Centre: Nov. 14, 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Nov. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• City Meat Market, Downtown Moonlight Magic: Nov. 16, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• St. Basil Elementary, Prouse-Buick Drive For Your Students: Nov. 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Rotary Parade: Nov. 18, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Picking up donations on route)
• Pino's Get Fresh: Nov. 20 and 21, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Greyhound Game, Essar Centre: Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Station Mall: Dec. 2, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Dec. 3, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Mill Market: Dec. 6, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
