Illuminate the Season, a new fundraising event for ARCH, will be held at The Machine Shop Nov. 18-21.
The holiday-themed event will include a silent auction featuring items donated by local businesses.
More information on Illuminate the Season can be found on the ARCH website.
Meanwhile, the Lung Health Foundation has confirmed that it will not host its Festival of Trees event this year.
"With the ongoing pandemic considerations, the very difficult decision was made to not host the Festival of Trees this year. We’re aware another organization is hosting a similar fundraiser and wish them much success." said Rose Mary Phillip, vice president of marketing and strategic initiatives for the Lung Health Foundation. "Next year, we look forward to the return of the Lung Health Foundation’s annual Festival of Trees event in Sault Ste. Marie. Planning is already underway by Grace Briglio who has lead the event since it began."
SooToday received the following release from Illuminate the Season organizers:
The Machine Shop is excited to present Illuminate the Season with ARCH, taking place on Thursday, November 18 until Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Sault Ste. Marie Machine Shop. The in-person celebration will bring together local businesses showcasing their talent, and dedication to not only the holiday season but support towards a local charity.
Illuminate the Season with ARCH is a family-friendly event bringing together all ages, and will have something for everyone to enjoy. The event will include festive décor with an opportunity to bid on and win on trees, wreaths, and planters.
Those who attend the event will also have a chance to bid on some amazing silent auction items graciously donated by local businesses.
The event will also include a Santa’s workshop, and the morning of the final day, kids will have the chance to skate under The Roof while enjoying a cup of delicious hot chocolate and a treat.
The entire weekend will follow ALL guidelines set in place by Algoma Public Health and will require anyone entering the building to wear a mask at all times.
“ARCH Hospice and The Machine Shop are excited to be teaming up for Illuminate the Season with ARCH. We are eager to see all of the trees that will be decorated by local businesses who are showcasing their creative talent while providing a beautiful atmosphere for those attending.
