Roads were pretty icy this morning following last night's freezing rain and snowfall combination.
The mixed bag of weather did not bode well for Canada Post letter carriers.
In fact, conditions were so dangerous that postal workers were pulled off the streets this morning.
A spokesperson for Canada Post told SooToday that postal workers were delivering mail this morning before the health and safety committee determined that it was unsafe to continue mail delivery.
An email from media relations representative Nicole Lecompte reads, "We have the responsibility and duty to evaluate all conditions in order to ensure the safety of our employees when delivering the mail. Our delivery agents will resume regular deliveries as soon as it’s safe to do so."
It is unclear at this time whether delivery will recommence tomorrow.
