A special meeting of the Township of Huron Shores council is scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening.
The purpose of the meeting is to formulate a plan on how to fill vacancies on council -- those being the Office of the Mayor and Councillor Ward 1.

On the agenda for tonight's meeting, is a report from Natashia Roberts, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)/Clerk recommending council choose a mayor from among sitting councillors and direct staff to issue a public call for Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals to fill the two vacant Council seats.
A closed session is also on the agenda for tonight's meeting.
The meeting is open to the public in person or by Zoom. People wanting to join the Zoom presentation of the meeting are asked to register in advance to receive the link.
