Here’s a fishing story you can believe.
The temperature was so unseasonably warm this week that Sault resident Larry Euale was able to pick a few dozen dew worms from his front lawn on Old Garden River Road.
“Never in my 40 years at this location was I ever able to find worms after early October,” he wrote to SooToday, sending along a couple photos as proof. “It was just amazing.”
An avid angler and hunter, Euale says he’ll save the worms for when the fishing season opens.
“My aging fishing cohorts and I believe that this weather may not be the new norm,” he wrote. “But we all agree that we may not experience the minus 25 to 35 degree lows as we have in past years especially due to climate change.”
