Hospital's latest 50/50 winner takes home over $112K

The November winner of Sault Area Hospital's monthly 50/50 draw is taking home $112,262.50.

The winner is Tammy Lapointe of Brantford, Ont.

Lapointe grew up in Echo Bay and has extended family, including her son, who still live in the Sault area.

Lapointe said she's "still in shock" over her win.

"I’m certainly going to have a great Christmas, and I’ll save some for my retirement," Lapointe said.

Early bird winners for November include:

• Allan Lago of Sioux Lookout, Linda Smith of Thessalon, and Chris Borgo of Thunder Bay in the Nov. 9 draw; winning $2,000 each
• Lesley Higgins of Erin, Shirley Yun (group of 18) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Glen Kent of Sault Ste. Marie, who won $2,000 each in the Nov. 16 draw
• Paula White of Sault Ste. Marie, Sandra Airdrie of Fort Frances, and Laurie Smith  of Sault Ste. Marie, who won $1,000 each in the Nov. 23 draw
