The Historic Sault Ste. Marie Métis Council will be launching a digital archive.
“This accessible digital portal houses hundreds of documents, photos, and ancestral objects that tell the story of the Sault Ste. Marie Métis Community and the Métis Nation of Ontario,” a news release said.
A launch event will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Delta Hotel.

“Attendees are invited to join us to explore the Digital Archive in advance of the Grand Opening of the Heritage Centre in the fall of 2024,” the news release said.
The Digital Archive Project is funded by the Historic Sault Ste. Marie Métis Council and the Government of Canada.
