WAWA – On Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at approximately 6 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 Bailloquet Township.
The collision involved a single northbound tractor trailer.
The lone occupant did not sustain any injuries.
As a result of police investigation Gary DE VOS was charged with Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
Highway 17 is open to alternating traffic.

Earlier release at 10:19 a.m.:
WAWA - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment are presently on Highway 17, Menzies Township, doing traffic control cleaning up a scene from a motor vehicle collision.
Both lanes of Highway 17 are closed.
Police will update as the Highway re-opens.
