With March Break just around the corner, there are a number of ways to avoid bored kids during their week off school.

The following is a list of some of the educational and fun actives happening in Sault Ste. Marie this coming March Break.

Art Gallery of Algoma - Building Art By Hand

During this three-day art workshop, children will explore a myriad of materials from cardboard to clay. Sessions run March 15 through 17 from 10 a.m. until noon. The cost is $75 for AGA family members, or $90 for non-members. All materials are included.

Picture Book Putt-Putt:

Start your March Break family fun with a visit to our mini-golf course. Tee times are on a first come, first served basis. Come at the time that’s best for you.

Mr. MacDonald’s Mad Science:

Come join Mr. MacDonald in his lab as he prepares some of the craziest experiments you’ve ever seen. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, because children will have the opportunity to join in and do some of the experiments themselves.

STEAM:
Calling all builders, designers, creators and innovators. Learn new skills, try science experiments and explore new technologies.

Retro Day: Kick it old school at Searchmont Resort! Put on your boldest  and brightest neons – or whatever you consider “retro” – and enjoy an awesome day on the slopes.

YMCA Day Camps

YMCA Day Camps have provided fun camp adventures for kids for more than 100 years. The Day Camps offer values based, camper-centered programs for youth ages 4 to 12 years, including activities that combine new friendships, adventure and personal growth to make memories that last a lifetime. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 18.

Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics Club

March Break at the Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics Club from March 14 to 18 features theme days, including:
    •    Monday, March 14: Pajama Rama
    •    Tuesday, March 15: Pirate Adventure
    •    Wednesday, March 16: Carnival
    •    Thursday, March 17: Hawaiian Hullabaloo
    •    Friday, March 28: Merry Unbirthday Day

Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site

The historic site id offering a variety of activities throughout the March Break, including paper-making, clay workshops, cooking lessons, and an Easter egg hunt.
