Shooters Downstairs Lounge has posted some cryptic Facebook messages lately, encouraging customers to guess what big changes will be coming this year.
On Thursday, a photo was posted of a crane outside the building located at 68 Dennis St.
Initially, the person who monitors the lounge’s Facebook page didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
This is how they responded:
"Hi Brandon
Thank you so much for reaching out and for your interest in Shooters! We’re excited about the positive changes happening this year, but at this time, we’re keeping the details under wraps. Rest assured, when we’re ready to share more, you’ll hear about it first on our social media channels.
We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing more with the community soon!"
When SooToday drove by to snap a photo, the crane was gone but a Henderson Metal truck was parked in the lot with a trailer containing a large stainless-steel structure.
SooToday then asked if it was a new HVAC system being installed.
Here is what they said:
"Thanks for your keen eye and curiosity! Today’s post marks the first of many exciting changes we are planning for 2025. These updates won’t happen all at once; instead, they’ll roll out gradually over the course of the year.
We’re thrilled about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more with our community as things unfold. Thanks again for your interest, and we look forward to keeping everyone updated as we go!"
They confirmed it is a new heating and cooling system.
"It will be the first time in seven years we’ve had proper heating and cooling, so our customers will appreciate it in the summer and winter months. We feel it’s the first step towards creating more fun at Shooters . . . (being comfortable)."
