Here's what is open and closed on Family Day Monday

Ontarians are on the verge of a long weekend.

Here's what city facilities will be closed on Family Day Monday, Feb. 17.

• Cemetery office
• City Landfill
• GFL Memorial Gardens
• John Rhodes arena
• Northern Community Centre arena, walking track and community space
• The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site
• Fire Services Administrative offices
• GFL Memorial Gardens administrative office and box office
• Public Works and Engineering office – 128 Sackville Road. For 24-hour emergency service requests, call 705-759-5201.
• Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre
• Sault Transit main office
• Bay Street Active Living Centre 55+ and the Northern Community Centre Active 55+

There will also be no garbage or recycling pickup on Monday. Curbside collection will shift one day later for the remainder of the week.

The Landfill site at 402 Fifth Line East is closed on Saturdays for the season. 

Here's what will be operating on Family Day.

• Outdoor boarded skating rinks and ice pads – Art Jennings Speed Skating Oval, Anna McCrea, Merrifield and Esposito rinks and the Clergue Park Skating Trail and the Down Plaza will be open.
• James L. McIntyre Centennial and the North Branch Library will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
• John Rhodes Pool parent and child and lane swim will be open from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Public Swim from 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Transit Service: On Monday, February 17, an hourly schedule will be followed with the first bus departing the terminal at 6:15 a.m. and last bus departing the terminal at 11:15 p.m. Parabus service will run as usual. There is no Community Bus. For transit information, call 705-759-5438.
