The magic appears to have gone from 77 Great Northern Road, Unit 4.
A bankruptcy notice has been posted on the front door of the Sault's Herbal Magic location, referring all inquiries to its trustee, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
CBC reports that Herbal Magic has closed its central and eastern Canada stores and put those operations into bankruptcy, possibly meaning lost money for some customers who paid up front.
The following was posted to the company's Facebook page:
"Herbal Magic has long been a leader in Canada's weight loss market. However, it has become evident that our current business model is not viable in today's changing weight loss market and significant changes were required. To our affected clients and staff, we thank you for your support during this transition."
Another post reads:
"During our transition, business will continue in many of our locations throughout western Canada in addition to our franchise locations."
109 of 150 locations closed without notice on Friday morning. All the 41 locations remaining open are located in western Canada.
