'Meow, meow' – Help the local humane society feed its kitties

Although it’s a slower time of year, the SSM Humane Society still have around 100 cats to look after

The Sault Ste Marie Humane Society is hoping the public can help by donating canned cat food.

Although it’s a slower time of year, they still have around 100 cats to look after. A social media post said their food supply is running low.

“We like to give everyone some canned food as a treat in the morning, and we go through a lot for our kittens, pregnant cats, and nursing mama cats,” the post said.

“We’re happy to accept all brands/kinds! The favourite for most cats seems to be any flavour of Friskies pate, but we’re thankful for anything.”

The Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society is open every day from 12-5 p.m. Feel free to drop by with canned cat food.

“Here’s a link to our wishlist if you’d like to order there to have (it) shipped right to us!"

The SSM Humane Society is at 962 Second Line E.
