Heavy rain and strong winds continue north of the Sault today

The heavy rain will taper to light rain by this afternoon with winds diminishing this evening, Environment Canada says

Current details:
Heavy rain and strong winds continue today.

Hazards:
Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm.
Wind gusts up to 70 km/h.

Timing:
Continuing this morning.

Discussion:
Heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms will continue this morning. The heavy rain will taper to light rain by this afternoon. In addition, strong easterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will become southerly this morning. Winds will diminish this evening.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Utility outages may occur.
