For those who love the hot weather, it was fun while it lasted.

It looks like residents of the Sault will be getting some relief from the heat in the coming days.

At around 3 p.m. today, Environment Canada said a heat warning that had been in effect for the Sault, St. Joseph Island and Chapleau since the weekend has ended.

In fact, the weather agency is calling for an overnight low of just 9C tonight in Sault Ste. Marie.

Daytime temperatures in the Sault over the coming days will be in the low to mid-20s, according to the Environment Canada forecast, dropping to 19C on Sunday with a chance of showers both Saturday and Sunday.

While people in more northerly locales are getting some relief, the heat warning remains in effect for communities across southern Ontario with temperatures continuing in the low 30s over the next couple of days.
