Habitat for Humanity opens bigger, brighter ReStore

The new 20,000 square foot store and offices is about double the amount of space compared to the former location

The new Cambrian Mall location of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open for business.

SooToday took a tour of the 20,000 square-foot space shortly before doors opened to the public on Monday morning.

The new space replaces the former ReStore that was located on White Oak Drive at the intersection of Second Line and North Street.

The ReStore entrance is accessible from Willow Street, adjacent to Rome's Your Independent Grocer.

There is no entrance to the new store through the mall.

A loading dock for donations is located near the entrance to the new store.

Along with the retail space, the store also houses the Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie & Area offices, which were formerly located on Elgin Street.

The ReStore is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
