As part of the annual Remembrance Day ceremony on Friday, the 49th Field Artillery Regiment will fire three 105mm blank rounds.

The ceremony will happen at the cenotaph on Queen Street while the gun salute will take place along the boardwalk at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion, away from the parade location.

Soldiers from the 49th Field Regiment will participate in the Legion parade, marching in a formed body between the cenotaph and GFL Memorial Gardens.

As a result of the salute, residents in the area will hear a succession of three loud bangs.
