SUDBURY - Whether downhill ski hills in Greater Sudbury will open next week remains to be seen.

On Monday, Premier Doug Ford announced the lockdown and stay-at-home orders would be coming to an end for most of the province on Feb. 16.

Lively Ski Hill and Adanac Ski Hill have not opened this year due to ongoing pandemic restrictions. But with the easing of those restrictions next week, Sudbury.com reached out to the city to see if the hills would be able to open.

Kelli Brooks from the city’s communications department said the question is still up for discussion.

“We're still evaluating the details of yesterday’s provincial announcement and what it means for our municipality,” Brooks said. “We'll continue to consult with Public Health (Sudbury & Districts) and any updates will be shared over the coming days.”
