************************* Stabbing at Goulais Mission residence
SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (January 2) - Sault Ste. Marie OPP stopped on Highway 17 at the bottom of the Mile Hill at 12:05 a.m. yesterday had a truck stop and tell the officers that an occupant in the vehicle was the victim of a stabbing.
Police investigations found that a 44-year-old Goulais Mission man had been stabbed three times when he intervened in a verbal argument between his son and another man.
The victim has been treated and released from hospital.
Charged with aggravated assault and two counts of breach of recognizance is Justin Craig Ethan McKay, age 20, of 226 Cathcart Street in Sault Ste. Marie.
McKay will appear in bail court Friday morning.
