More than $31,000 has already been raised for the young woman who was shot at the Northern Credit Union in Wawa on Thursday.
Robert Cliffe, who describes himself as a close friend of Bridgette Hagen, started the account to help Hagen with her recovery.
“As you may have heard or read, Bridgette sustained life altering injuries resulting from gun shot wounds at her place of employment in Wawa on Thursday, December 12, 2024,” Cliffe said on the GoFundMe page.
“She will have a long road ahead of her for recovery as she is going through multiple surgeries in Sudbury,” he said.
“I am starting this GoFundMe page because I would like to raise money to help the family with all the expenses that they will be facing during this stressful time.
“Donations are to be used by the family for whatever they may need while supporting Bridgette during her recovery,” the page said.
The goal was to raise $50,000.
