The event featured a variety of health and safety demonstrations from several emergency response teams

Locals made their way to the Mill Market today to learn more about being prepared in an emergency.

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the family friendly event provided attendees with the opportunity to meet with local emergency response teams and view demonstrations of emergency equipment.

Included in the event were representatives from the Sault Police, Paramedic Services, Search and Rescue, Algoma Public Health, PUC, and the Canadian Red Cross.

Participants could also enter a draw to win a 72-hour emergency kit.
