New venue is the site of annual Emergency Preparedness Showcase today

Saultites gathered at the Downtown Plaza Saturday to get informed about how to prepare and stay safe during emergency situations at the City of Sault Ste. Marie’s annual Emergency Preparedness Showcase.

From 9 a.m.to 2 p.m., parents and children were greeted by essential service workers and emergency personnel from PUC Services, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Army reservists, Sault OPP, Paramedic Services, Sault Fire Services, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Sault Search and Rescue and Sault Police.

Many children and parents had their photos taken while seated at the wheel of emergency vehicles.
