GALLERY: Cultural Family Fun Day comes to Clergue Park

Families take part in games, contests and art projects Friday for Ontario Culture Days

Cultural Family Fun Day was held at Clergue Park as part of Ontario Culture Days, bringing together people from many different walks of life for a day of family-friendly activities Friday.

More than two dozen community partners took part in the event, which featured a number of opportunities to take part in various games, contests and art projects.

More than 90 municipalities across the province host Cultural Family Fun Day events each year.

“One of our mandates is accessibility arts and culture,” said Kyrstiana Bourdage, northern Ontario lead for Ontario Culture Days. “People often find barriers to participating in events — so by highlighting free events or pay-as-you-may events across the province, we’re able to welcome people into these spaces and get their hands into arts and cultural events, and learn and share.”
