Worshippers from several churches celebrate their faith at fifth annual ‘A Thousand Voices at the Cross’ event

A large group of Christian worshippers from several Sault and area churches gathered Saturday evening for the fifth annual ‘A Thousand Voices at the Cross’ event.

Seated at the Sault’s landmark 120-foot Cross on the Hill at 250 St. Georges Ave. E., the audience enjoyed prayer, Christian music and an inspirational message from speaker Jonathan Stewart.

Stewart, a parishioner at Free Methodist Church in Hilton Beach, told the audience that his Christian faith has strengthened him as he deals with two recent deaths in his family.

Inspirational live music was performed by Destiny Christian Centre, The Young Adults and Steve and Ore Araba and Company.

The occasion was a time for Christians to unite and celebrate their faith and for non-Christians looking for belonging and hope.

'A Thousand Voices at the Cross' — a free admission event — was first held in 2018 and is presented each year by Christian radio station CJTK 106.5 FM.
