The Sault Ste. Marie YMCA's Doggy Dip is this weekend.
The event comes ahead of the YMCA's annual pool maintenance closure and is a chance for dogs to take a swim in the facility's pool and will happen on Sept. 16.
Participation is by a minimum $10 donation per dog to the Y’s Strong Communities Fund and the donations will be by cash only.
Small dogs (up to 25lbs) are invited to participate between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. while big dogs (26lbs or more) can jump in from 11 a.m. to noon.
All dogs must be accompanied onto the pool deck by a handler 16 years of age or older and must be on a leash when not in the pool.
Proof of current canine vaccinations must be presented as well.
