A fire reported Friday involving a heavy equipment loader is not considered suspicious, states a release issued by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.
The loader was heavily damaged in the blaze.
Full text of the release follows:
On Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews were called to a reported fire in the north end of the city.
Just after 4:30 p.m., fire crews responded to a fire involving a heavy equipment loader in the 1100 block of Great Northern Road.
Upon arrival, the loader was fully involved in flames. Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
The fire is not considered to be suspicious in nature and remains under investigation.
There is extensive damage to the loader. There were no injuries to report.
