First-time ARCH 50/50 ticket buyer Shelley Andrews was "shocked and excited" to find out she had won the June draw, bringing home $13,655.
“I hope Hospice is where I end up when it’s my time,” she said in a news release. “It’s comforting to know I’ll be cared for while my family can relax and spend quality time together.”
Andrews plans to share her winnings with her kids and have some home renovations done.
She also plans to continue buying ARCH 50/50 tickets.

ARCH is thrilled to announce that Shelley Andrews has won $13,655 from the June 50/50 Grand Prize Draw with ticket #L-1065012. Shelley was shocked and excited to hear the good news, as this was her first time purchasing tickets!
Although Shelley doesn’t have direct experience with ARCH, she has heard about our services through neighbours and relatives. Inspired by the stories she has heard, Shelley decided to support our mission of providing comfortable end-of-life care. Her mother passed away in Nova Scotia in 2023, and while she received wonderful hospital care, Shelley wishes Hospice services had been available in her area. She appreciates the home-like Hospice environment that offers attentive, specialized, holistic care.

Shelley plans to invest her winnings in her children and home renovations. She will continue purchasing tickets each month to support ARCH.

Proceeds raised from the 50/50 go directly towards the care and support of hundreds of residents, community clients, and their families served by ARCH each year.
