Kris Valley won $19,970 in the ARCH 50/50 draw.

Kris Valley had just locked his keys in his car. That misfortune was not, however, a sign of things to come. Later that day Valley learned he was the ARCH Hospice 50/50 winner for March.

This is the first time he has purchased ARCH 50/50 tickets and he only bought them the night before the draw. “It was a last-minute decision, but I’m happy I made it,” he said in a news release.

Valley isn’t quite sure what he is going to do with the money yet, but he is thinking he is going to save it for his future.

"We are so grateful for supporters like Kris," added said Julie Premo, manager of training and co-ordination with ARCH.

ARCH provides end-of-life care to thousands of people and families in the Algoma region. It is an honour and privilege to work at ARCH, and we are so thankful for our supportive community."

Valley won $19,970 ticket number No. I-5483485.

Early-bird draws take place on the second Wednesday of each month. Purchasing tickets in advance will give you a chance at both the $1,000 Early-bird prize and the end-of-month grand prize.
